Warranty Policy

All products carry a warranty from the date of dispatch for all faults due to material or construction.

The warranty period for professional Class III Approved Marsden medical scales is 8 years (applicable to all Class III Approved medical scales purchased after 23/10/2023). Medical scales purchased prior to this date will be covered by 4 year warranty.

Industrial scales, veterinary scales and all other products standard warranty cover is 1 year. Any faults under this warranty are repaired free of charge.

Please note that all moveable parts – batteries, cables, mains units, rechargeable batteries, etc. are excluded.

In the unlikely event that your item is delivered damaged or in non-working condition we will arrange an exchange free of charge.

8 Year Warranty: Class III Approved Medical Scales

Our pioneering 8 Year Warranty is available with every Class III Approved medical scale as standard.

For many years, the industry standard for professional medical scales was two years. However, in 2018 we chose to demonstrate our confidence in the quality and reliability of Marsden products in the clearest and boldest way possible: by doubling our warranty period.

However, as of October 2023, we have yet again doubled our standard warranty on all Class III Approved medical weighing standards. Medical scales now benefit from 8 year warranty - and it means you know you’re purchasing a high quality product built to last. The Marsden 8 Year Warranty comes at no extra cost and demonstrates our belief in the quality of our products. No contract required.

Purchases of medical scales made prior to 23/10/2023 will retain there 4 year warranty certification.

1 Year Warranty: Consumer, Veterinary and Industrial Scales

Our range of consumer scales, veterinary scales and industrial weighing equipment all come as standard with 1 year warranty.

The warranty start date starts the date that the goods are despatched from our warehouse.

Any faults under this warranty are repaired free of charge. Please note that all moveable parts – batteries, cables, mains units, rechargeable batteries, etc. are excluded.

In the unlikely event that your item is delivered damaged or in non-working condition we will arrange an exchange free of charge.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

1. The Marsden 8 Year Warranty is available with every Marsden Class III Approved professional medical scale. The warranty is from the date of purchase for faults due to material or construction defects; faults under this warranty are repaired free of charge.
2. All movable parts - for example batteries, cables and adaptors - are excluded.
3. It is the responsibility of the customer to return the product to our factory in Rotherham. Claims covered under warranty will be carried out free of charge and Marsden will pay for the return transport costs. If we do not deem the issue to be covered by warranty, we will issue a quote for the repair.
4. All enquiries relating to warranty repairs undergo a first line technical review by an engineer remotely who will assess the scale to determine if it is covered under warranty. If a repair is required, the scale will be returned to Marsden as the default option. An engineer will only be sent to repair on-site in exceptional circumstances. If the remote engineer does not believe the issue to be covered by warranty and an engineer is required any payment will need to be taken before work is carried out. This applies to scales supplied directly by Marsden to professional end users in UK mainland only.
5. The Marsden 8 Year Warranty applies to any Marsden Class III Approved professional medical scale purchased on or after 23/10/2023*.
