What does the scale’s IP rating mean?

The scale’s level of protection is shown by the IP rating. The first digit refers to the scale’s protection to dust and the second digit signifies protection against water and other liquids.

IP65 rated scales are protected from moisture when wiped down with a damp cloth. IP67 rated scales are referred to as splashproof, and have protection from moisture and can be washed down after use. IP68 scales - such as the PB-SS-I-400SS - are fully waterproof for use in the most punishing environments. Find out more here.
